Your data at EMC, in plain English

What we collect.

What you type into the pre-registration form: last name, first name, email, school, field of study, graduation year, availability, any links you choose to share, and your CV as a PDF.

Why.

For three things, and only with your consent: running your participation in the PFE Challenge; offering you a final-year internship if you're selected; and, only if you tick the dedicated box, contacting you again later about another opportunity.

How long.

Your application is kept until the wave ends, plus 6 months. If you opt into the CV library, your CV is kept for 24 months, with an email at 22 months giving you the choice: extend or delete. No answer means automatic deletion. Everything is wiped by a scheduled program, not by a human when they happen to remember. Our daily backups rotate over 90 days: deleted data disappears from them within 90 days at most.

Who can see it.

EMC's tech team in Agadir — five people — and nobody else. Every CV view is recorded in an audit log. Our hosting provider, OVHcloud, stores your data as a subcontractor, with no access for its own purposes. Your data is never sold, rented, or handed to other companies.

Where it's hosted.

On a server rented from OVHcloud, at its Gravelines datacentre, France (European Union). No third-party form or storage service is involved.

The AI part.

Your CV is analysed by an artificial-intelligence tool to extract your skills and make our team's work easier. Your CV's content therefore passes through the tool's provider, hosted in the European Union, for the duration of the analysis. No decision about you is made automatically: selections are read and approved by humans. The tool does not infer your gender, background, age, or beliefs — those fields do not exist in our system.

Your rights.

At any time, you can view, correct, or delete your data, no justification needed: through the personal link in our emails, or by writing to challenge@educationmedia.ma. Deletion is immediate and confirmed by email.

The legal framework.

Declaration of this processing to the CNDP is in progress, under Moroccan law 09-08 on personal-data protection. As a precaution, we also apply the requirements of the European GDPR, in case candidates on double-degree programmes in France sign up.
